This course covers the knowledge and techniques required for the safe use of Surface Marker Buoys and delayed Surface Marker Buoys.
The Delayed Surface Marker Buoy, commonly known as a DSMB, is a crucial piece of equipment used for diving in the sea. Unlike a normal surface marker buoy, that stays on the surface from the beginning of the dive, a DSMB sits in your pocket until you are ready to use it - hence the term delayed and used to mark a divers position, as a visual reference for boat traffic and as a signalling device.
This course, approved by PADI, consists of a theory session, two open water dives where the skill development is put into practice.
Upon completion, students will receive a PADI Distinctive Specialty PIC card.
Knowing how to use a DSMB is very important for Boat diving.
